I was very excited to have found this great land between the Arroyo San Antonio and the Acequia Madre. My vision for this area was to build based on my design philosphy of "right sized" homes. I'm not a fan of the status quo "santa fe style", and envisioned a compound of 5 homes, that would take advantage of the southern orientation of the site. They would utilize a more modern, contemporary design language (my personal favorite).
We developed 5 units, each with their own private spaces, but grouped in such a way that they are clustered on the site, to leave the surrounded areas as open space. I believe that I have created something that fosters a sustainable lifestyle, while being close to the downtown area.
